WHAT I DO
I love writing and editing for different reasons. Writing allows me to capture a client's complete thoughts into a concise piece through planning, research and, finally, words. And editing allows me to be precise and detailed to ensure the technical aspects of the work let the message take center stage.
I have experience writing a variety of copy including advertising taglines, marketing copy, web copy, blogs, editorial features, company profiles and biographies. I have edited others' work in all of these forms as well. In addition, I edit fiction work and higher education textbooks. I enjoy the diversity of projects as it allows me to continually learn about new subjects. It keeps me interested in the world around us.
Meghan and I worked together for several years at WilsonHCG, where she began as a copywriter and was quickly promoted to the Director of Marketing. The dedication and leadership she provided her team was unlike anything I have ever encountered before. Although she consistently had to juggle many challenging projects at once, Meghan never hesitated to provide support and guidance to her team. I'm grateful to call her both a friend and mentor - I miss her!
In addition to Meghan's leadership skills, she is also a talented, hard-working content creator. She excels at having the ability to take little direction or information and turning it into a well-crafted, strategic piece of content. Once such project was an employment branding report - one of WilsonHCG's highest performing pieces of content. Not only did she create all the content, but she also helped drive a lot of the promotional strategy through the collaboration of her team.
Meghan is a fantastic all around person and would make a tremendous addition to any team!

Meghan has been a fantastic manager to work for. Over the least year or so, she has helped me develop my skills on the marketing and sales ops team, despite having limited knowledge and experience in these roles. She exudes patience and positivity, no matter what the situation calls for. Despite the learning curve, Meghan was always supportive of me as I worked to get on the same page as the rest of my teammates. She knows how to adapt her management style to work with the individual she is managing, allowing her team to gain a lot of value out of it and feel that they can rely on her for anything. I know Meghan would go to bat for any one of us, which seems like a very rare quality to find in a manager these days.
Meghan’s marketing, copywriting and copy editing skills are very strong and, thankfully, her teaching skills are also adequate. She was able to clearly explain these concepts to me and help me develop my skills in all of these areas and then some. I’m confident that I not only learned from her, but that I learned the RIGHT way from her.
